March Merkin/is the cold over?/VCL ‘cuda/thank you Mr. Cady!!

Friends of the Angling Company:

Last week the annual March Merkin tournament was held in Key West. Over three days of what could easily be described as prohibitively difficult conditions, two fish were caught. The Angling Company would like to extend it’s warmest congratulations to Capt. Scott Collins of Marathon and his client who took top honors.

As for tarpon, there have been reports of fish beginning to lay up in the middle Keys, while in Key West we are seeing plenty of fish hooked in the harbor on bait. This Saturday I have a charter with Capt. Aaron Snell for an evening session of tarpon fishing with my great friend and cousin Fitz Coker manning the camera (and rod, of course…) , so hopefully we will have something to show you all after that!

I would also like to thank Mr. Cady, who sent an email reminding me to stay on top of this fishing report–he’s right.

Here is a photograph of my mother, Vicky Linville, who is in Key West for a week and decided to get out with Capt. Ryan Erickson for a day chasing barracuda. As you can see, she gets it done!

Tight lines,

NCL
