Fishing With Zack Stells
Fishing With Zack Stells
I was thinking about the fishing reports the other day, and realized that I had neglected to include a day with Zack Stells a few weeks ago. After returning from the Everglades and getting everything sorted out in the work/sanity/pre-Christmas department was able to get on the water with Zack for a day.
When I last fished with Zack, we had a tough beat on a permit that we lost in the final minutes of the day. We were both looking for a little redemption, and while we didn’t find it in the form of a permit we stuck with it and had a great time nonetheless.
We found some smaller tarpon to throw at, and each caught one. We also had a couple of shots at barracuda, which was a nice thing to help in the change from record tarpon fishing. We also had a pair of great shots at permit, though neither made a move towards a bite.
In all, I had a great day with Zack. I enjoyed fishing with him as always, and I’d be surprised if we didn’t repeat our excursion in the coming months.
Tuesday I’m fishing with RT and Kat’s father and brother, and I’ll be sure to post about it here.
Merry Christmas!
