Barracuda Bowl results

After two days of heavy (30 mph!) wind, the fleet returned with the following results. The Angling Company would like to extend our warm congratulations to all the participants, especially those listen below:

Cuda Bowl 2012 Results
The Second Annual Cuda Bowl was held at Hurricane Hole Bar & Grill in Key West, FL. The two day tournament was February 3rd and 4th and hosted 23 anglers from New York, Illinois, Georgia and Virginia.

Grand Champion Spin Division:

Pierce is the sales manager for O. Mustad & Son USA.

Miller pulled off catching three barracuda on fly in the last hour of their fishing on the second day.

Largest Barracuda
Lynn Bell of Summerland Key
Bell owns and operates The Square Grouper Bar & Grill in Cudjoe Key.
Bell caught her first barracuda on the second day of the tournament. The largest of her two caught was 49 . Last year s largest was 53 caught by Capt. Peter Heydon (as an angler). Bell s other fish was 39 .

Most Permit Releases
Capt. Scott Owens of St. Simons Island, GA
Owens did land 6 barracuda and one permit, the only one of the tournament

Shallow Minded Charters

Iron Man Division
Steve Hancock of Harrisburg, PA
Hancock fished by himself and in the blustery 20 to 30 kt winds he saw plenty of barracuda and some permit and managed to land one barracuda with light tackle.

Knowles barracuda catch totaled 259.25
