Fishing over the last week, cold to come but ending soon

For the last few weeks the weather has been phenomenal, though it looks like that may be drawing to a close this afternoon. While the high is supposed to be only 61 (f, !!) tomorrow, we are supposed to see temperatures in the mid 70’s by Friday.
All things considered, the last few weeks have been phenomenal. I fished two days ago with Captain Ray Vasquez for a few hours, and we had shots at permit and bonefish. Last night I caught a tarpon, and fed a small blue runner to a large barracuda.
This cold may put things back on track (as we have had a warmer-than-typical fall season), and this may be a good thing. As the cold front won’t last long we might not lose too many degrees of water temperature.

Looking forward to three days in Chokoloskee at the end of the month with Steve Huff (weather permitting, we’ll be looking for the six) and another great year.
