Fishing with John

Again, order the DVD that has the same name of this fishing report–it’s gorgeous. Guests include Matt Dylan and Tom Waits.

Yesterday I fished with captain John O’Hearn in some pretty challenging conditions. John found us about a dozen shots at fish, but more importantly they were all big and in perfect areas for 6 lb capture.

We had two fish track the fly, and not one opened its mouth to eat. That said we were out there and, perhaps most importantly, had a great time. John found what we were looking for, and we went in to yesterday with our eyes open (and shoulders to the wind).
