Flats Fishing

Flats Fishing

Water temperatures are in the low ’60s (f) in the Lakes Passage–it seems as though we lost at least a few critical degrees in the preceding few days. This means that life might be difficult to find, but if the water temperatures are in the low ’60s in the Lakes then they should be about 5 degrees higher than that in the backcountry basins.
Jacks on rays, blacktip sharks, schools of ladyfish, and the barracuda bite all hold some great angling possibilities in our waters. As the week progresses we eagerly await higher water temperatures and the return of permit and tarpon.
Tight lines to all, and please don’t hesitate to give us a call or send us an email via our contact form if we can help you with any questions you may have!
