Goldenfly Results

I have a lot to write about our fishing in the Goldenfly, and there is more than I’ll be able to get up in a day or two. A full report will be forthcoming, but for now I’ll leave the results up here.

Captain Scott Collins and Ed Young won the event with a consistent showing of a weight fish and multiple releases each day. Captain Rob Fordyce and Carlos Duncan were able to turn a fantastic final day into a second place finish. In third were Captain Tad Burke and Roger Fernandez. John and I ended up (again) in fourth place, though this year we were able to secure the largest fish award which was pretty cool.

On a personal note, it was great to see Scott and Ed (both of whom have become good friends) win the tournament and I am super happy for them.

A lot of fish were caught and the tournament was a great time. We gave a good account of ourselves and had a phenomenal second day with two very large weight fish.
