March Mekrin results/our fishing

The last four days will (hopefully) be some of the hardest I’ve seen.
I could go on about how tough it was (which would be a long and sad report) or talk about how the fishing was (that I can do briefly: cold, windy, and devoid of permit). I’ll do neither of these things.
In three days of fishing, we saw 5 permit, had two shots, and didn’t catch one. The same low numbers were seen by other boats, though credit is due to Captain Scott Collins and Greg Smith who caught a single permit on day one and therefore took the victory and big fish honors. The rest of the fleet tied for second.
On our third day, Aaron found some redfish and I caught one:

Here’s to next year. Lots of fishing coming up–Sunday with Fitz, Monday with Captain Chrs McCreedy, Wednesday and Thursday with Joe Rodriguez. Reports will follow.
