Next week and last night

Last night I fished with my friend Henrik for baby tarpon, and while the fish were being extremely testy we managed to hook four. One was released and the others managed to spit the hook before they jumped.
On Sunday I’m driving up to Everglades City for three days (dependent on the weather, though the forecast looks amazing) with Captain Steve Huff. My hope is that Aaron will join me, though his boat building project may get in the way.
I probably don’t need to write about how excited I am to fish with Steve again or what happened last year; suffice to say we are after the six and a report will surely follow.

In other news, I’ve heard the blackfin tuna are in great supply offshore. The weather is amazing for January and if one can fish this is a great time.
