Description: There are very few reels that come across our desk that we haven't seen before. One of these is this beautiful 8400 1.6 in a rare satin-matte finish. Made without the Charlton crest that adorned all reels except those that bore the signature of the buyer, the effect is elegant and understated on such a rare size and finish. Furthermore, this reel has two handles instead of the regular one, and feature a black hardwood that we've not seen before.

If one were to design an original Charlton reel in the rarest size, finish, and features it would be this one. Surely a one-of-a-kind, this would be as welcome in any collection of Charlton reels as it would be on the water.

It features a cork drag and a 1/4 inch drive and comes with a zippered Charlton case (again, this case is without the Charlton log.
Its condition is used but has been meticulously cared for. There are no marks that we could find on a close inspection, and it is as near to the condition it left Jack and Judy's factory as it could be without being held in a display case.
