Fishing in Key West

Fishing in Key West

I havn’t been out a lot lately, though I’m hearing that the bonefish and permit are around in good numbers, provided you can see them. The cloud cover has been the number one complaint, but when the sun is out or fishing is taking place over white sand the visibility seems to lead to good shots and cooperative fish.

Superfly is this Friday, followed by the Redbone SLAM tournament. I pre-fish for the tournament on Thursday, and fish the Superfly. A report and photographs will of course follow.

I went fishing in the dock lights a few nights ago, and was in a new area that I hadn’t fished before. If I had seen some more moving water I may have stayed, but the tide was slack and I’m planning on going back on Tuesday night.

Regards, good luck, etc.
