Flats this morning

Flats this morning

This morning I joined my good friend and accomplished angler Michael Driscoll for a half day on the flats, fishing with Captain Lenny Leonard. We had a good start looking for some tarpon in a basin, and saw more than a few rolling fish. However, we never seemed to get close enough to the fish to spot them through the glare.
Following that, we visited a few laid-up spots in the back and failed to see anymore fish. A combination of failing tide and water just under the tarpon threshold equalled a lack of fish, unfortunately.
We later pushed around for an hour on a low incoming tide, looking for permit, and saw none. After that it was time for me to go to work, which I am looking forward to finishing so I can go fishing tonight once again.
A night tarpon report to follow tomorrow.

Best,

NCL/TAC
