Hatch

Hatch reels are made in the USA, and have been making the rounds in south Florida for a few years now. They have a Rulon stacked drag, which is completely sealed, and are easy to maintain. Unlike other reels, the reel foot is a permanent part of the frame, which eliminates the corrosion often associated with the dissimilar metals at this juncture. The larger piece of barstock needed to machine the reels adds a bit to the price, but it’s a worthwhile trade off.
