Tarpon/commitment
Tarpon/commitment
/April 9, 2011
The tarpon fishing turned on this afternoon. I had the opportunity to speak with a few captains in the last hour or so, and all said the same thing: that the tarpon fishing was tough (relatively) in the morning, and that the bite turned on later.
And this gives me an opportunity to point out the value of fishing a full day. Not only does it give an opportunity for a guide to commit to a plan without having to run in at a certain time, but it allows for the possibility of a fantastic turn around, the kind of redemptive experience that becomes a legendary day on the water.
Tight lines to all anglers on the water–stay committed!
Best,
NCL/TAC
