Tarpon Tarpon

So here we are, smack in the middle of a late, though phenomenal, tarpon season for 2010!!
Here are a few observations from the year so far: it appears as though there are a lot of quite large fish around; bigger than average. The fish are pushing on the oceanside, though slowly. In fact, I have heard recently that the fish west of Key West have been hard to find, though the fishing on the ocean side east of here remains crowded.
Worms: while we have yet to see the makings of a proper “worm hatch”, the worm flies seem to be diong the trick at times when not much else will.
